Housing Programs

Okaloosa County offers Affordable Housing Programs to assist very low, low and moderate income residents with Homeowner Repairs, Homeownership and Low Income Rentals through various grant programs.  Citizens may apply for these programs through the Growth Management Department, Housing Programs.

Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC)

This Committee serves in an advisory capacity to the Okaloosa County Board of County Commissioners and the City of Fort Walton Beach Council on issues related to affordable housing and to review established polies and procedures, ordinances, and regulations and recommend actions or initiatives to encourage or facilitate affordable housing as provided in the Okaloosa County Code Section 11.5-60 and Chapter 420, Florida Statutes.

All meetings of the AHAC are open to the public.
