Sheila Fitzgerald joined the Okaloosa County Board of County Commissioners as Deputy County Administrator of Support Services in October 2021, following a 17-year career in local government. She oversees all internal support divisions within the County, including Budget, Human Resources, and Information Technology, and also citizen support services such as Veterans Services, Housing, and Transit.

She has extensive experience in the areas of budget management, grants administration and project management. She holds a Master of Science in Public Administration from the University of West Florida. She has served on numerous non-profit boards and is currently serving as Board Chair of the United Way Emerald Coast.
