Water Conservation & Efficiency

Conserving water and using water efficiently lowers utility bills for households and businesses, protects local resources and saves energy. Fixing water leaks and installing water-efficient appliances like low-flow showerheads, toilets, and low-flow faucets or faucet aerators can save significant amounts of water.

  • Check for water leaks:  Repair items like dripping faucets or running toilets.
  • Turn off the tap:  Turn off the water while brushing your teeth or shaving
  • Run full loads:  Only run dishwasher or washing machine when they are completely full
  • Water lawn early in the day:  Cooler temperatures maximizes water absorption, reduces evaporation and prevents fungal disease
