Commissioner Drew Palmer serves as the County Commissioner for District 5, which includes Destin, Bluewater Bay, and much of Niceville. Originally from Texas, Drew has called Okaloosa County home since 2010, living there with his wife, Jodi, and raising their two daughters in Destin.

 

Drew comes from a family deeply rooted in service with multiple family members helping their community as pastors and law enforcement officers. Their work inspired him to pursue his own path of service from a young age.

 

He joined the Air Force at 17, embarking on a distinguished career in Aerospace and Defense that has spanned over two decades. His extensive experience in this sector has provided him with a strong foundation in leadership, strategic planning, and operations.

 

Drew holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Project Management, a Master of Arts in Leadership, and a Master of Science in Operations Management. He also has several industry certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Finance, and Program Management.

 

As Commissioner, Drew is committed to driving economic development and expansion in Okaloosa County. He prioritizes infrastructure improvement to support the region’s growth while maintaining low taxes and ensuring fiscal responsibility. He also aims to provide exemplary county services to all residents, enhancing their quality of life.

 

Drew’s vision for Okaloosa County includes fostering a thriving business environment, promoting community engagement, and supporting sustainable development. His approach is characterized by innovative thinking and a deep respect for the traditions and values that define Okaloosa County.
